When was the last time you thought about your story?
How long has it been since you intentionally wrote a line, a page or a chapter?
It’s easy to forget this; to become trapped in the day-to-day grind. The should be, could be, make more, be more, check out when it’s hard, you’ll never be enough, zone out to the screen version of life.
We quickly fall into monotonous routines and thoughtless schedules. We forget that we are remarkable and unparalleled humans; each person a beating, breathing soul.
This is one of the most precious gifts traveling has given back to me.
Without routine and schedule, everything is new and fresh. Each city is full of unfamiliar faces and beautiful stories.
When I meet new people, they invite me to talk about who I am; to acknowledge my story and speak it into existence.
Who are you? Where are you from? What is your story?
It is difficult, even painful at times, to intentionally write our stories. Sometimes it feels safer to check out. When we lose ourselves or the people we love, it feels impossible and torturous to turn the page.
But we must.
We must continue to dream and create. To write and sing. To author our lives and treat every breath as remarkable.
Be an active participant in your life. Embrace your journey with wonder.
If you fell asleep, wake back up. If you stopped exploring, start again.
